Apple as a Victorian Qeeen PDF Print E-mail

victorianjobsThis post on TechCrunch is pretty telling - or at least amusing. Is Apple turning back the clock to a more Puritanical, or maybe Victorian era where flesh is evil, and any hint of prurient interests are not to be allowed? According to their observations about the iStore, no apps are allowed to be sold if they have any ability to cause feelings of... shall we call it 'interest'?

I wonder what will become of the web browsers that still allow browsing to any number of sites of questionable virtue. Is there an app for screening out images of flesh built into the iPhone browser? I don't know where this latest update to the walled garden is going, but if the garden is anything like Eden, Apple has supplied the fig leaves to its users - without their asking.

Click here to read TechCrunch's take on this.
