Earlier this week I had some issues with my email accounts. It's not the first time, and usually the problem is the same... my hosted email account at Siteground.com for koegler.net gets full of trash. Actually, it's the spam filter on the host that gets filled, and the only way I know is that my email account starts bouncing email. I logged into my host and went to clear out the trash and found that it wasn't even close to full. In stead, it seemed that Gmail's POP retrieval function wasn't.

And my understanding is that the practice has worked for Gillette, and all the other blade manufacturers. That is, until the company added just one item that made the blades last too long.

Mike Elgan put up a post today that follows up on the buzz about the PleaseRobMe.com site. If you're not familiar with it, the site posts Twitter items from folks who include the phrase "left home." Get it? The implication is pretty simple, but what the site leaves out is the essentials of just where this person's home is. And in fact, as Mike points out, most of these folks are likely to be pretty far away. Never fear - Google's Buzz comes to the aid of those nefarious folk.
