Camping - But Not as Much

Just came back from our first camping trip of this Summer. It was great, but only reminded me of last year's trip - 7 weeks dragging the camper across 7,000 miles of road and campgrounds.

Still, the last 6 days inthe mountains Near Boone, NC were terrific. We had a site along a creek, and lots of shade.

The campground's web site said they had WiFi, but seems that it only gets to some of the sites. Fortunately I had both my Nexaira router with an AT&T wireless card, and also my iPass wireless card as backup. Since the campground is close to Boone, there's plenty of good cellular coverage, and my connections were in the near-broadband range.
6 days was a good start, but we both couldn't help wondering if we could live the camper life for maybe 4 months at a time. I actually think we could do it, and enjoy it.
Anyhow, back at home base and off to the vineyards this evening for a wine and herb tasting. Interesting concept.
